Italian agent reveals Osimhen ‘likely’ to join PSG, not EPL clubs

The agent representing Thiago Motta claims he knows who Arsenal, Chelsea, and PSG target Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will choose when leaving Napoli.

There were reports on Tuesday in Calciomercato.com that Osimhen had already told Roberto Calenda to start laying the groundwork for the summer transfer to his next destination.

According to Bologna coach Thiago Motta’s agent Dario Canovi, the Nigeria international and former Lille hitman is returning to Ligue 1 rather than the Premier League.

“In my view, he will likely play for Paris Saint-Germain,” Canovi told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“It would be the smartest signing to replace Kylian Mbappé, who has been a Real Madrid player for months and it’s a farce that they are trying to avoid telling us.”

Osimhen has a release clause in his new contract with Napoli, which is believed to be set at around €130m, after winning the Scudetto last season.

While Chelsea and Arsenal would also be in a financial position to pay that kind of fee, Paris Saint-Germain have for some time known that Mbappé would walk away as a free agent towards Real Madrid.

They have therefore been planning a huge swoop on the transfer market to make up for that painful exit and Osimhen would fit the bill.
