Francis Ngannou makes light jokes of Vinicius punches

It's a good thing Vinicius Junior is a world-class footballer because after taking part in a body shot challenge with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, it's clear he wouldn't have made much of a boxer.

The Real Madrid star let rip to Ngannou's gut with a series of weak punches as the Cameroonian was left asking 'is that all?'.

Ngannou flew out to Los Angeles on Saturday to join Real Madrid for their third day of pre-season training at the UCLA campus and met several of the first-team players.

Among them was Vinicius Junior, Ngannou's favourite player, who was egged on by teammate Eder Militao to show the MMA fighter what he was made of by punching him as hard as he could to the body.

But as the Brazilian let his hands go, Ngannou couldn't contain his disappointment at the lack of snap to his idol's shots.

Ngannou will face a far sterner test on October 28 when he squares off against reigning WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in a 12-round boxing bout over in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The crossover clash has drawn a fair amount of criticism from fans, who wanted to see Fury face Oleksandr Usyk in the first undisputed heavyweight title fight of the four-belt era.

Ngannou makes his boxing debut on the night after leaving the UFC back in January of last year.

The 36-year-old cited a "lack of freedom" in the MMA giants' contracts as the reason for his departure.

He recently signed with promotional rivals PFL and is now expected to switch between MMA and boxing as he enters the latter stages of his career.
