Nigeria's Terem Moffi, the last player to join the squad following Victor Boniface's injury, has declared the Super Eagles' determination to secure their first win at the AFCON tournament.

After a shaky start with a 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea, Moffi believes the team is "very positive and ready to go all out" against Cote d'Ivoire on Thursday.

Speaking with PREMIUM TIMES in Abidjan, the OGC Nice forward acknowledged Nigeria's missed opportunities in the previous match.

"We created a lot of chances, but failed to score," Moffi emphasized. "Going into this second game, we have to be more clinical and score as many goals as possible."

The task ahead won't be easy, as Cote d'Ivoire currently leads Group A with a 2-0 win over Guinea-Bissau.

The Super Eagles and Equatorial Guinea share one point each after their draw.

Historically, the Elephants have dominated the rivalry between the two nations, winning four out of seven encounters since 2006.

However, Moffi is undeterred. "We have to go all out, stay positive and try to win the game," he declared with conviction. "We have a good team and a lot to prove. This is our chance to show everyone what we're capable of."
