Budapest 2023: Ofili, Akintola seek a place 200 semi-final, Amosun in final

 

Team Nigeria athletes continue their participation in the ongoing 2023 Budapest 2023 World Athletics Champion with Favour Ofili, with a personal best of 21.96, and Alaba Olukunle Akintola with a personal best of 20.26, competing in the men and women 200m.

Ofili and Akintola are favoured to qualify for the semi-final.

In the evening Tobi Amusan will be competing in the semifinal of the 100 m hurdles.

The first two in the three heats and the two each heat fastest losers qualify for the final.

Amusan competitors for a place in the final include Austrian Celeste Mucci with a personal best of 12.84 seconds, Hungary Luca Kozak with 12.69, American Masai Russell with 12.36, Jamaican Ackera Nugget with 12.43, Netherlands Nadine Visser with 12.51, France Cyréna Samba-Mayela 12.68, and Finland Reetta Hurske 12.70.
