Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has fallen ill and has been ruled out of the two-legged World Cup playoff ties between Nigeria and Ghana, 234SportsNG.com can report.
The situation has seen Coach Augustine Eguavoen extend a kate invitation to Enyimba FC goalkeeper John Noble to join the squad.
Rightly or wrongly, Okoye's error was widely seen as one of the major reasons why the Super Eagles crashed out early from the last Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
