The arrival of Thomas Tuchel could alter transfer plans for Bayern Munich in the summer.

Earlier this season, one report in Germany suggested that Bayern may delay the signing of a striker.

However, the latest reports do hint towards a big-money arrival at Die Roten in the summer to find the solution for number nine.

According to SportBild and Sky Sports Germany, Bayern is keeping a close eye on Super Eagles and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian striker has been one of the most prolific forwards in Europe this season. Die Roten also admires the quality of Osimhen, but a final decision on whether to pursue his signing is yet to be made.

SportBild has also insisted that Bayern will be open to spending €100 million on a new striker since it is a priority position for the summer.

Meanwhile, Osimhen will also be reportedly open to making a return to the Bundesliga in order to play for Bayern.

The Nigerian striker has previously played for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.

Osimhen has scored 25 goals for Napoli in 28 appearances across Serie A and the Champions League.

He is a ruthless finisher that can stretch defensive lines with his clever movement. Moreover, the Nigerian striker is also very strong in the air, making him a complete traditional number nine.

The only problem in pursuing the signing of Osimhen is the transfer fee. Napoli is in a strong position to demand a nine-figure fee since Osimhen’s current deal expires in 2025.

The Italian club paid close to €70 million for Osimhen few years ago, so they will look to get at least double the fee they paid to Lille.

If Bayern can end up getting Osimhen for €100 million, then it will be a very good deal for the German club. Osimhen is only 24, so his best years are ahead of him.

He is already one of the best finishers in Europe. Die Roten will not have to worry about signing another striker in the long run if they get Osimhen.

Apart from Osimhen, Bayern has been heavily linked with Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane. The English striker will have one year left on his contract in the summer, which may force Spurs to cash in. '

However, Kane is also likely to cost more than €100 million. Since the English striker will be soon 30, signing Osimhen will be better for Die Roten for their long-term vision.

Along with Osimhen and Kane, several strikers such as Goncalo Ramos, Dusan Vlahovic, Marcus Thuram, and Tammy Abraham could be on the market in the market.

Bayern sorely missed a number nine against Manchester City, so it does look like a pivotal area to increase the quality and depth in the summer. The German club will not be short of options.
