Antetokounmpo tweets force Mbappe to react to Al-Hilal's offer

PSG star Kylian Mbappe has broken his silence after Al-Hilal submitted a world record £ 259 million offer to PSG, following a tweet from NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal launched their extraordinary bid on Monday as PSG seek to sell Mbappe after he refused to sign a new deal with one year left on his contract.

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Antetokounmpo took to social media to joke about the bid, amid Mbappe's reported reluctance to move to Saudi Arabia.

'Al Hilal you can take me. I look like Kylian Mbappe,' Antetokounmpo jokingly tweeted.

The post drew a response from Mbappe, with the 2018 World Cup winner responding with a series of laughing emojis.

Relevo reported on Monday that Mbappe 'does not want to play in Saudi Arabia' despite Al-Hilal's stunning bid.

The Madrid-based outlet claims Mbappe is determined to see out the final year of his contract with the reigning French champions, who are determined not to lose the forward on a free.

PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently insisted it would be 'impossible' for Mbappe to leave for free.

Mbappe is reportedly 'willing to sit on the bench all season' amid a continued stand-off with the club, with the forward having already been left off the club's pre-season tour.

Al-Hilal's offer would eclipse Neymar's £198m move from Barcelona to PSG as the most expensive transfer in football history.

The offer on the table would reportedly see Mbappe earning a staggering £600m in just one year.

It is claimed that the Saudi Pro League side could put a release clause in a lucrative contract that could allow Mbappe to sign for Real Madrid next summer.

The French star has long been keen on a move to Real, with PSG believing he has already agreed to join the Spanish giants for free in 2024.

Mbappe opted to sign a new contract worth £ 650,000 per week with PSG rather than join them last summer.

Al-Hilal have been one of the biggest spending Saudi Pro League clubs this summer, as they seek to attract top talent to the league.

The club have already signed Ruben Neves from Wolves for £47m and recruited Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea in a £33m deal.

Al-Hilal have also signed Serbian playmaker Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio for £34m, while they are targeting Fulham striker Aleksandr Mitrovic.

Notably, Al-Hilal missed out of the signing of Lionel Messi as the Argentina instead opted to join MLS side Inter Miami.

Mbappe looks set to join Messi in spurning their interest, but at least five clubs have reportedly reached out to PSG over the weekend, according to Sky Sports.

Three of those clubs are Premier League teams, with Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham all keen on Mbappe.
