American thrower set a new world record for shot put

American Ryan Crouser has set a new world record in shot put by throwing at 23.38 meters in an indoor track during the Simplot Games, held in Idaho, USA.

In this competition, Crouser has used for the first time a new technique, one which he has baptized as 'Crouser slide'.
The 30-year-old won gold medals at both the Rio Olympics in 2016 and also at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. He also won the gold in the World Championships in Eugene last year.
