AFL: Enyimba ready for Wydad clash as Moroccan arrives in Uyo

 Enyimba forward Izuogu Chibueze has assured the club’s fans that the team is ready for Sunday’s clash against Morocco’s Wydad Athletic Club.

George Finidi’s side will be up against the Red Devils in their inaugural game in the competition at the Enyimba Stadium on Sunday.

“We promise our fans we are going to do our best at the inaugural edition of the African Football League,” Chibueze told Enyimba’s media.

“The mentality in the team’s camp is very high, the confidence is very high, and everyone is preparing to get a win on Sunday.”

The Moroccan club has arrived in Uyo for Sunday’s African Football League quarter-final clash.

 The players and their officials arrived at the Victor Attah International Airport via a private jet on Friday night.

The contingent departed Rabat International Airport on Friday morning.

The Red Devils will train at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, the venue of the game on Saturday afternoon.

The game will kick off at 6 pm Nigeria time.

The reverse fixture is slated for Casablanca on Wednesday, October 25.
