As Our Boys take on Zimbabwe Warriors on Sunday in a FIFA World Cup qualifiers defender Jordan Zemura said they are battle-ready for a win.

Baltemar Brito’s side will do battle with their illustrious opponent at the Huye Stadium, Butare on Sunday.

The Warriors played out a 0-0 draw against Rwanda in their first game last Wednesday.

The left-back stated that they wanted to record their first win in the qualifying series.

The Udinese of Italy player further said the Warriors are in a buoyant mood ahead of the game.

“We are ready to play, we are ready to compete, we have the courage to face them,” the 23-year-old declared in a short video posted on the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) official X handle.

“We have trained together, you can see there is a lot of quality in the team, we try to encourage ourselves.

“We know the quality Nigeria has as a team. We just have to stay strong, be on top of our game, and stay with each other.”
