Uzodinma injects N100million into Heartland FC

 The Governor of Imo State Hope Uzodinma has splashed the sum of One Hundred Million Naira on the state-owned football club Heartland FC following the club’s promotion to the top flight and for also emerging as the champions of the Nigeria National League (NNL)

The Governor made the announcement when he hosted the players and the management of the victorious “Naze Millionaires” to a sumptuous dinner at the Government House Owerri during the week.

Uzodinma eulogized the team and her technical crew for a superlative performance. He lamented the pain and agony of the Government when the club went down but he remained resolute that the team had what it took to return to winning ways.

He affirmed that the team will remain intact because” you don’t change a winning team” The number one citizen pledged his Government’s resolve to support Heartland FC to compete not just in the elite league but on the continent of Africa and beyond.

The General Manager Promise Nwachukwu alongside the team captain Nnaemeka Anyanwu, Sports Commissioner, and the Special Adviser on Heartland Emmanuel Ochiagha presented the gigantic NNL trophy as well as the Imo FA trophy to the Governor.

Uzodinma also got a brand new Heartland FC Jersey and a scarf as the club’s number one supporter.

Heartland defeated Kano Pillars in the final of the NNL playoffs decided at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State to be crowned the king of the NNL, the club also enjoyed an unbeaten streak as they made an instant return to the top flight after being relegated in the 21/22 season.
