Terem Moffi scores twice to help Nice record a shock 3-2 victory over Paris Saint Germain condemning the defending champion to their first defeat of the season on Friday night in the French Ligue 1 match at the Parc Des Princess.

It was a day the Parisien paid tribute to Marco Verratti, who left the club for Al Arabi in the Qataris league after serving as the French champion for over a decade. 


The home fans were looking forward to another routine win in the evening as Kylian Mbappe is rearing to go once again.


But the French talisman lost the ball midway Terem Moffi made the best of it and found the back of the net in the first half following Mbappe's error..


The France striker made amends on the half-hour mark, by scoring the equaliser. 


Gaetan Laborde restored Nice's lead eight minutes after the break and Moffi put another past the ragged hosts to rattled the fans at the. Parc Des Princess to a dead silence.


Kylian Mbappe volleyed home to give the reigning French champions hope but as the deficit was reduced Nice held on.


Luis Enrique's PSG, who would have usurped Monaco at the top with three points, instead slipped to third in the early table with eight points from five games, one point behind unbeaten Nice.


"Throughout the match, they were fresher than us," said Luis Enrique after his first loss as PSG coach.

"A defeat hurts, we all have to improve, myself included. But I liked our state of mind.
