Osimhen wants Napoli stay, Lookman gets high ratings and Musa builds school

The agent of Super Eagles and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen Roberto Calenda says the Nigerian, has no plan of leaving Napoli.

Osimhen was linked with several English, German and Spanish clubs in the summer and the 23-year-old is still being linked with a move away from Napoli in the January transfer window but Calenda says the Super Eagles is going nowhere.

“We haven’t found out now that Osimhen is the subject of interest from so many teams, but things are done in three: who sells, who buys and the player.

“I was immediately clear this summer because I knew there would be a lot of news coming out from those who had other interests perhaps. But I, the boy and Napoli had very clear ideas,” Calenda said in an interview with Napoli-based Radio Kiss Kiss.

He confirmed that Osimhen has no plans to leave Napoli and is happy at the club.

“Whoever talked about a departure made a mistake. It was Victor’s will to stay at Napoli and play the Champions League that he won entry to last year together with his teammates.

“Victor wanted exactly that, to have a great year with Napoli, between the league and the Champions League. He has a long contract with the Azzurri. The market is dynamic, but our will is to continue at Napoli and continue to do well.”

The 23-year-old Osimhen, who is contracted to Napoli until 2025, has made eight appearances across all competitions so far this season. In that time, he’s scored four goals and provided one assist, being an important part of Spalletti’s squad.

Elsewhere, Atalanta manager, Gian Piero Gasperini has praised Ademola Lookman for his positive contributions since linking up with the club.

Lookman linked up with La Dea from Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig this summer for around €9m.

The Nigerian international has been one of the standout performers for Atalanta this season.

The 24-year-old scored the winning goal in Atalanta’s 2-1 victory against Sassuolo on Saturday night.

He has now scored in three consecutive games for the Serie A club.

“Lookman is what you call a player. He always knows what to do, he moves well, he is fast, he has technique,” Gasperini was quoted as saying by Pazzi Di Fanta.

“I also give him the goal from Monza, because it is true that it is an own goal, but it would never have been a goal if he did not arrive,” he added.
