Mbappe’s mum demands £125 million from Madrid
A deal appeared to be close between Los Blancos and the France international but talks have reportedly encountered a bizarre speed bump
Football’s most sought after star Kylian Mbappe’s mother has demanded a £125million signing on fee from Real Madrid to finalise her son's move from Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe has been Real's top target for months and the striker appears keen to move to the Santiago Bernabeu after refusing to renew his contract with PSG so that he can be a free agent in June.
A deal appeared to be close between Los Blancos and the France international but talks have reportedly encountered a bizarre speed bump.
That is because the 23-year-old's mother, who is also his agent, seems to be playing hard ball with Real owner Florentino Perez.
"But his mother continues to play hard to ask for a €150million signing bonus, which is what PSG offers him.
"But when you negotiate with Florentino, he only has two options: lose or lose.
"Real Madrid is the only big team that has made money in the last two years."
This comes after reports from two months ago suggested Mbappe is in line for an eye-watering £800,000-a-week deal with Real.
That means the Frenchman would be making £41.6m per year in the Spanish capital.
The ex-Monaco star has been on fire this season at the Parc des Princes with a staggering 26 goals and 17 assists in 36 matches.
Mbappe has amassed a whopping 158 goals and 78 assists in 207 appearances across all competitions throughout his five-year stint in Paris.
