Giannis and Lillard set new record in the NBA

To say that Milwaukee Bucks duo Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard got it going on Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers would be an understatement. That might have been the best we’ve seen from this superstar pairing since they joined forces this past summer.

An undeniable testament to this fact is how Giannis and Dame achieved a never-before-seen feat after their strong showing against LA.

Thanks to Antetokounmpo and Lillard’s heroics, the Bucks snapped their two-game losing streak on Sunday with a 124-117 win over the Clippers. On Friday, they suffered a brutal 123-122 defeat at the hands of a LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers side, which pretty much wasted strong performances from both Giannis and Dame.

Against the Lakers, Antetokounmpo logged a 34-point, 14-rebound, 12-assist triple-double, while Lillard finished with 28 points, five rebounds, and 12 assists.

These two kept their foot on the gas on Sunday as Giannis amassed 34 points, seven rebounds, and 10 assists against the Clippers. Lillard, on the other hand, went off for 35 points, seven rebounds, and 11 assists.

Those are some pretty dizzying numbers over their last two, which as it turns out, has never been seen in the history of the NBA:

That’s crazy. And it just goes to show how hot these two have been in their last couple of games. Over this span, the pair have combined for 131 points and 45 assists between them.
