D’Tigress moves up in FIBA ranking

In the latest ranking released Tuesday night, our girls are now ranked 14th, a step up from their former 15th position.
With the latest ranking, they are now the number one ranked team in Africa.
At the recently concluded Basketball World Cup qualifier our girls suffered defeat to China in their opening match before beating France and Mali to qualify.
D’Tigress will know their group opponents in the World Cup by April as the organiser has now that the draw will take place in Sydney, Australia.
