Shakhtar Donetsk has confirmed that Chelsea is close to agreeing on a transfer for Mykhaylo Mudryk after a meeting between Blues co-owner Behdad Eghbali and Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov.


Arsenal looked to be on the verge of signing Mudryk, but as revealed by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea swooped in for the 22-year-old and now looks set to agree on a deal with the Ukrainian club. 


The public valuation from Shakhtar appears to have been met by Chelsea, who will pay a £ 62 million fee upfront with a further £ 26 million available in add-ons.


 
Arsenal sent off their third bid earlier this week and technical director Edu travellelooks Warsaw in an attempt to finalize the deal.

Parties are very close to agreeing on the player’s transfer to the club." 

The forward has scored 7 goals, and 7 assists in 12 matches for Shakhtar Donetsk in the 2022/2023 season an upgrade to his two goals returns in 11 matches he recorded in the 2021/2022 season.
