Former CAF Confederation Cup winners, Association sportive des Forces armées royales (AS FAR) have arrived Nigeria ahead of their decisive match with Remo Stars of Ikenne.

The team arrived Lagos early Friday and immediately headed to Sagamu, a 15-minute drive to Ikenne, the venue of Sunday’s Confederation Cup match. The contingent are staying at Nadas Hotel.

Earlier on Tuesday, an advance party comprising of four Moroccan embassy staff as well as their Nigerian contact person, Gara Gombe came to the Remo Stars Stadium for preliminary inspection.

Recall that in the first leg Remo Stars gave an excellent account of themselves as they battled to a 1-1 draw away to Moroccan side, AS FAR Rabat.

Adams Olamilekan’s second half header salvaged the commendable draw for Remo Stars at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah, Rabat. It promises to be a fight to the finish as AS FAR still lamenting over the draw registered at home will be putting in every arsenal into this weekend’s clash.

Also Nigeria's second representative in the CAF Confederation Cup Kwara United havw departed for Niger for their match against AS Douane.

The team travelled out of the country on Friday ahead of the second leg game slated for Niamey on Sunday.

The Afonja Warriors defeated AS Douanes 3-0 last weekend at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, the result put the Nigeria team in a comfortable position ahead of the second leg.

The Nigeria side will hope to continue their impressive performance in Niamey with the sole aim of qualifying for the next round of the competition.
