UEFA season begins in Greece as Man City play Sevilla in Super Cup on Wednesday

UEFA 2024 football season begins on Wednesday as the Champions League and Europa League winners meet in Greece.

EPL club Manchester City winners of the Champions League are the overwhelming favourites to beat Sevilla in the Super Cup.

Treble-winners City will meet Europa League winners Sevilla in the final, held at Olympiacos' Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, and it's the Premier League giants that are being backed to come out on top.

Pep Guardiola's were unstoppable last season as they romped to the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League – and now look on course to secure their first piece of silverware this season, after losing to Arsenal in the Community Shield earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Sevilla, once again, conquered the Europa League last season. The Spanish outfit beat Jose Mourinho's Roma on penalties to win the competition for a record seventh time in May, booking their place in this season's Champions League and Wednesday's Super Cup final.
