Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has delivered an update on Leandro Trossard's injury after the Arsenal man was substituted during the first half of his side's 3-2 win over Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium.

The Belgian international appeared to have taken a knock in the first period before eventually being replaced by Emile Smith Rowe in the 22nd minute. After the full-time whistle, Arteta confirmed that Trossard's injury is a worry.

"It is a worry, he came to me straight away and said he couldn't continue, he'd felt something when he was tracking back, so we had to take him off", the Spaniard said when asked what had happened to the talented attacker. "We'll assess him and see how he is."

The Gunners were 1-0 down when Trossard was withdrawn after Phillip Billing netted the second-fastest goal in Premier League history, finding the back of the net within the first ten seconds.

The Cherries then doubled their advantage before the hour mark through Marcos Senesi before the north London outfit rallied.

Thomas Partey got a goal back before Ben White levelled the scoreline in the 70th minute. Eventually, the hosts found their winner through substitute Reiss Nelson, who fired an unstoppable strike past Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto in the 97th minute to clinch his side all three points.

That result restores Arsenal's five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table after Manchester City had beaten Newcastle United 2-0 earlier in the day.
