Madrid considers Sadio Mané as Alaba urge Alphonso Davies to dump Bayern Davies

Real Madrid is contemplating making a move for Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mané even as Madrid defender David Alaba is reported to be persuading Alphonso Davies to dump Bayern Munich and join Madrid.

The price tag set by the club is at around €25/30m according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti,

This news comes at a very interesting time as Bayern Munich is working to re-shape its roster and could sell as many as three wingers during the summer transfer window. According to recent reports, Mané, Leroy Sané, and Serge Gnabry could transfer away in the coming weeks, which could bring Bayern Munich some extra revenue as it looks to add several players for next season.

Mané’s 2022/23 campaign was marred by a locker room altercation with former manager Julian Nagelsmann, a fight with Sané, way too many offside calls, and a general state of inconsistency. A change of scenery might be just what the Senegal international needs.

Meanwhile, David Alaba is pushing for Alphonso Davies to join him at Real Madrid, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The former Bayern Munich star is close friends with the Canadian international and has been with Real since moving from Bavaria in 2021.

Real are keen on the 22-year-old, however, a deal this summer remains unlikely. Bayern are insisting that the wing-back is not for sale. The Spanish giants are keeping Davies on their wishlist but it’s a deal that they will most likely push for in the summer of 2024.

Davies has struggled with game time in the second half of the season due to a series of injuries. The youngster has played 38 games across all competitions this season, scoring two and creating eight.

There is no doubt that Davies will be in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the upcoming Bundesliga season. Should the Canadian have another stellar season, it’s likely he’ll be attracting interest from Real and other top clubs. Perhaps Alaba’s words will put Real in pole position should Davies opt to move.

Currently, Davies’ contract runs until June 2025.
