FINALLY: Sunday Oliseh breaks silence after 28 years

it is obvious Oliseh has no hard feelings but remains grateful the government has finally done the needful after 28 years

Despite playing a pivotal role in the Super Eagles' triumph at the Tunisia 1994 Africa Cup of Nations, Sunday Oliseh and a large chunk of the team were denied the houses they were promised at that time by the government of the day.

However, 28 years later, the Federal Government has fulfilled the long-delayed promise and Oliseh has been reacting to the development via a video he posted on Monday.

it is obvious Oliseh has no hard feelings but remains grateful the government has finally done the needful after 28 years.

The last batch of the members of the Super Eagles that were promised landed for winning the Tunisia 94, Africa Cup Of Nations was finally rewarded in Abuja on Friday, 8 April 2022. 

The beneficiaries have been allotted their landed property, and their documents certifying them as the owners of the houses.

The latest set of players that benefit from the Federal Government benevolence includes; Peter Rufai, Alloy Agu, Ike Shorounmu, Uche Okechukwu, Samson Siasia, Efan Ekoku, Sunday Oliseh, Benedict Iroha, Isaac Semitoje, Mutiu Adepoju, Emmanuel Amuneke, Victor Ikpeba, Austin Eguavoen and Wilfred Agbonavbare (Deceased). 

Those that he received their properties according to the FG include Austin Okocha, Late Stephen Keshi, Uche Okafor, Finidi George, Thompson Oliha and Rashidi Yekini alongside three members of the technical crew

The Super Eagles defeated Zambia by 2-1 in the 1994 finals of the Africa Cup Of Nations in Tunisia and the then-president late General Sanni Abacha promised to reward the players but he couldn't reward them before his demise in 1998.
