Kelechi Iheanacho needed just six minutes to make an impact in Saturday's Premier League clash as he came off the bench to provide the assist in Leicester City's 1-0 win over Leeds United at the King Power Stadium.

Harvey Barnes benefitted from Iheanacho's assist as he was once again the thorn in Leeds' side as they made a luckless start to life under new head coach Jesse Marsch with a defeat at Leicester.

Leeds had several opportunities to break the deadlock in their first game in the post-Marcelo Bielsa era but found Kasper Schmeichel in irresistible form before Barnes condemned the visitors to a fifth straight loss.

Making his 100th Premier League appearance, Barnes continued his record of scoring in every top-flight game he has played against Leeds with a composed 67th-minute finish and there was no way back for the West Yorkshire club.

Yet another setback leaves Leeds continuing to look over their shoulder, although there may be some solace in an improved display after conceding 10 times in their previous two games.

With the latest three points, Leicester move up to 11th in the Premier League table after a third straight win.

It is however looking continuously bad for Leeds United whose relegation troubles is getting more pronounced by the day.

They presently sit just two points above the drop zone having played more games than all the sides around them.

Having produced a better display on Saturday, Leeds United, there could be light at the end of the tunnel for the Yorkshire team who are now on a five-game losing streak.
