Champions League favourite Bayern eye solid start against Inter
Inter vs Bayern

The Champions League football returns this week as Bayern Munich travels to Italy for the first game of the group stage against Inter Milan.

After suffering two disappointing results in the Bundesliga, Die Roten will be hoping to bounce back with a good performance against a strong Inter Milan side.

Bayern remains unbeaten this season across all competitions, but the performances against Monchengladbach and Union Berlin in the last ten days have been disappointing.

Julian Nagelsmann’s team has struggled to convert chances in both games. The German coach will be looking for a much-improved performance on Wednesday against Inter Milan.

Inter will be facing Die Roten on the back of a derby defeat against AC Milan last weekend. The hosts will be eager to bounce back from the bitter loss on Wednesday and deliver a solid performance in front of home support.

It will be a good test for Rekordmeister early in the Champions League campaign.

Bayern will have most of the squad available for the trip to Milan.

Mattys Tel has recovered from a minor injury to travel with the squad on Tuesday. Bouna Sarr is the only senior absentee for Rekordmeister due to an injury.

There is also speculation around the future of Sarr since he has been heavily linked with a move to Turkey, where the transfer window is still open.

Manuel Neuer will start in the goal against Inter Milan on Wednesday.

The German goalkeeper will be hoping to get a clean sheet after conceding goals against Gladbach and Union Berlin.

Lucas Hernandez and Matthijs de Ligt will start in the heart of the defense, while Alphonso Davies and Benjamin Pavard will occupy full-back positions.

There is a good selection headache for Julian Nagelsmann in central midfield. Leon Goretzka is fit to get his first start of the season, but Marcel Sabitzer has done a fine job in central midfield this season.

The German coach may end up sticking with the midfield two of Sabitzer and Joshua Kimmich, while Goretzka will be used from the bench.

Nagelsmann is likely to stick with the front four that has yielded good results this season. Thomas Muller and Serge Gnabry will operate as the wide forwards for Die Roten on Wednesday.

Jamal Musiala and Sadio Mane are expected to play up front as the German coach looks to play a fluid attacking front four.

Playing at San Siro will be a stern challenge for Bayern Munich on Wednesday. We are backing Sadio Mane and Jamal Musiala to score and help the visitors in clinching
