Egypt survived a major sacre when Abdel-Moneim made a mis-timed tackle on Ciss in the area and gifted Senegal an early penalty kick.
Unfortunately, Sadio Mane took the responsibility to play the penalty kick but missed it.
That could have been the opener for the Teranga Lions but Mane missed it.
The miss could have proved costly when Salah had a glorious chance in the 42nd but Mendy saved it.
The first half ended 0-0 and there is more to look forward in the second half
