Zamalek sacks former Super Eagles manager José Peseiro

Egyptian giants Zamalek have officially parted ways with former Super Eagles of Nigeria coach Portugal's José Peseiro.
The Club made this known on Wednesday.
The decision comes following a 2-2 draw against National Bank in the latest round of the Nile Egyptian League, a result that further fueled unsatisfactory over the team's results.
They were kicked out of the CAF Confederation Cup at the quarter-final stage by South African side Stellenbosch.
On the domestic front, Zamalek currently sit third in the league standings with 40 points — six behind arch-rivals Al Ahly and seven adrift of leaders Pyramids.
The positive for the White Knights as Zamalek as affectionately called, is that they have reached the final of the Egypt Cup, where they will face Pyramids on the 5th of June.
Peseiro, who guided Nigeria to the final of the last Africa Nations Cup in Côte d'Ivoire, took charge of the team in February and shepherded them in 13 matches:
South Africa's born coach, Pitso Mosimane, is the frontrunner to replace the sacked José Peseiro.
