Value Jet Cup: Kwara United vows they are in Ikenne to win the trophy
Ahead of the commencement of the 3rd edition of the Value Jet Preseason Tournament on Wednesday, Coach Kabir Dogo, the Technical Adviser of Kwara United, expressed the Team's determination to exceed their previous performances in the competition.
Kwara United was placed in a group with Remo Stars, Rivers United, and Ijebu United during the draws in Ikenne.
Dogo highlighted that the Tournament serves as a valuable opportunity to gear up for the upcoming season, evaluate their level of readiness, and identify areas for enhancement.
"Our participation in the Value Jet Cup is geared towards fortifying our squad and solidifying our preparations for the 2024/2025 NPFL Season while aiming to compete fiercely," he stated.
Emphasizing the team's unwavering commitment to clinching victory for the State, Dogo stressed the meticulous approach being taken in their preparations.
In a warm welcome to Kwara United in Ikenne, Kunle Soname, the founder of Remo Stars, encouraged the players to establish a reputation for themselves, acknowledging the exceptional platform provided by the club's management.
"Seize this opportunity to shine, Kwara United has presented you with a platform for excellence, make the most of it," he urged.
Soname also commended the club for the choice of young players in the team in Ikenne.
Additionally, he announced a generous donation of one Million Naira to the players in the event of a tournament triumph, in addition to the five million naira prize money for the victorious team.
