UCL: Alaba included in Real Madrid squad for Manchester City second leg

Nigeria born Austria football star David Alaba has surprisingly been included in Real Madrid's matchday squad for their Champions League semi-final with Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Alaba was forced off at the interval in the first leg last Tuesday and missed Los Blancos' title-winning victory over Espanyol on Saturday, but he has been included as an option to play against Pep Guardiola's charges.

Carlo Ancelotti may still start with Nacho Fernandez alongside Eder Militao in the heart of the defence, or he might opt for the Brazilian's regular centre-back partner in Alaba.

The Italian coach also has a key decision to make over whether to name Rodrygo Goes or Fede Valverde in his starting XI.

The three players who have not been included in the squad are Isco, Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard.

The Welshman is still dealing with a back problem, while the Malaga-born midfielder is suffering from flu. The Belgian, meanwhile, is still recovering from ankle surgery.
