Tennis legend Monica Seles sees a bit of Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic in Carlos Alcaraz as she is tipping the 19-year-old to "win many more Grand Slams." Alcaraz, who will be turning 20 in May, already has a Grand Slam and three Masters titles in his collection.

Also, last year Alcaraz became the youngest world No 1, as well as the youngest Year-End No 1. Seles, a former nine-time Grand Slam champion, is highly impressed by what she has seen so far from Alcaraz. “I'm surprised by Carlos’ mental strength, being so young.

I only saw it before in Nadal and Djokovic. We will see Carlos win many more Majors because he’s capable of being competitive on any surface and withstand matches as long as the ones he won at the US Open," Seles told Marca.

After winning his first Masters title in 2022 Miami, Alcaraz said he was ready to become a Grand Slam champion. Six months later, Alcaraz became a Grand Slam champion at the US Open.

During this year's Miami Masters, Alcaraz announced to the whole world he would win another Grand Slam. “Well, is different to be back here as a defending champion. Yeah, I think when I [said last year] that I’m ready to win a Grand Slam, yeah, it was not wrong.

Here I’m going to say the same: so I [am] going to win another Grand Slam. Obviously is great to play here. I would say is no different to play a first round here than last year. I would say the only difference is I play in the centre court and last year I was not.

It’s that difference only," Alcaraz said. Alcaraz missed this year's Australian Open due to a knee injury. Barring an injury, Alcaraz will make his Grand Slam return at the French Open - where he made the quarterfinal last year.
