Super Falcons to play Canada as part of build-up to Paris Olympic Games

 As part of the build-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Super Falcons will play reigning Olympic Games gold medalist Canada in a friendly match.

The warm-up will take place in Sevilla, Spain, on Wednesday, July 17.

The Super Falcons will set up base in Sevilla ahead of the Olympics.

Nigeria and Canada met in the group stage of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup with the game ending in a 0-0 draw.

Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum unveiled his 18-player squad for the Olympics on Wednesday.

The nine-time African champions are pitched in Group A with world champions Spain, Japan, and Brazil.

The West Africans will be up against Brazil in their first game at the Stade Bordeaux on July 25.

They will take on Spain at the same venue three days later before rounding up their group stage campaign against Brazil on July 31.
