Super Eagles and Villarreal striker, Samuel Chukwueze believes Nigeria is on the right track at the ongoing AFCON, and that the team is fired up to face any opponent in the competition.
Fielding questions from the media at the end of Sunday's light workout, Chukwueze hinged his submission on the camaraderie, discipline, and high work ethics within the team.
He added that every player is ready to step up their game as demanded by coach Austin Eguavoen since he took over the reign last December, adding that the team is rearing to go in the knockout stage.
" Everybody is giving their best as far as this competition is concerned. We are good to go against any opponent, I don't choose any preferred opponent, but just as the coach said, every team in this competition is capable of winning the championship.
"There are no minnows in African football and you can't just say that Sudan or any other is small as far football is concerned. I believe in the team and the coach is doing an amazing job with the Super Eagles," he said.
He then showered encomium on the Nigeria supporters club and the people of Garoua for their unflinching support toward the Super Eagles and maintained Nigeria will continue to live up to its pre-tournament rating.
" The people of Garoua have been so wonderful with their support so far and the Nigerian supporters club are doing a great job too. We will keep working hard to putting smiles on their faces," he said
