The 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL has been throwing different propositions week in and week out since the beginning of the season on January 8.

Here are six things we learned after the conclusion of matchday six

" Draw Specialist" Scorpions stops Benin Arsenal

Gombe United aka Savannah Scorpions continue their streak of draw games as they picked their fourth draw of the campaign against Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Edo State.

The game ended goalless, and it ended Bendel Insurance's 100% record of wins in the league, as the Scorpions have only a victory and lost once, for now, Gombe United deserves the toga, " Draw Specialists " in the league.

Doma United dominates Rivers United, ends unbeaten run

Doma United caused a major upset over the weekend after coming from a down to beat defending Champions, Rivers United by 2-1.

The newly promoted side picked their second victory of the campaign by inflicting Rivers united with their first loss of the season, ending a winning of four games and an unbeaten streak of five for the Champion.
The loss allow Lobi Stars to leapfrog River United on top of the login group A.

The Markurdi-based team picked another valuable point in Minna against Niger Tornadoes as both sides played goalless.

The one point pitched Lobi Stars on the same point as Rivers United on top of the login group B with 13 points, but Lobi led with a superior goal difference.

Wikki picks the season's first win

Embattled Wikki Tourists of Bauchi defeated Enugu Rangers 1-0 to record their first win of the season after six games.

Abubakar Aliyu is the hero as he scored the only goal just before the stroke of halftime to condemn the Flying Antelope of Enugu to another loss in the season.

Different strokes for Imade and Obioma scores again

It's a tale of different strokes for Imade Osarenkoh of Bendel Insurance and Emeka Obioma of Enyimba international.

Imade has failed to score in two back-to-back games while Emeka Obioma has scored four goals in the last four games, his latest came on Sunday when he scored Enyimba two goals that nailed Elkanemi Warriors in Aba as the people's Elephant cruised to a 2-0 victory.

Both strikers are not tied on four goals at the top of the scorer's chat. I made had earlier scored in his first four matches played in the league and he needs to rediscover his scoring on time before he is overtaken by in-form Obioma of Enyimba.

The goalador race continues as we still have 12 more games to be played before the end of the regular season, with many players chasing behind with three goals.

Enyimba, Akwa United, and Plateau United close down on Remo as the top 3 finish hots up in group A

Akwa United thrashed 10-man Remo Stars by 3-1, on Sunday thus picking their 10 points of the season, closing up on Remo Stars in second position with just two points between them.

Remo Stars lost their second game of the last three, losing a massive 6 points in the process.

This recent dip in form allows Enyimba, and Plateau United to close the points gap to two.

With Bendel Insurance pacing out of the group with four gaps ahead of Remo Stars, it's going to be a straight fight for the remaining two slots of the Super Six slots among Remo Stars, Enyimba, Plateau United, and Akwa United as the season drives to an exciting finish in group A.

Nasarawa still searching

After six matches, Nasarawa United are still searching for their season's first win.
They remain the only team that is yet to win any game this season as two goals from Samuel Ayanrinde for 3SC on Sunday in Ibadan keeps them searching for needed victory.

They are rooted at the bottom and may be destined for relation at the end of week 19.

At the end of matchday six, Bendel Insurance still holds the advantage in Group A with 16 points.
Rivers United are tied on 13 points with Lobi Stars in Group B while Abia Warriors boosted their top 3 finish with another away win against Dakkada FC, as the Uyo-based team slumped to a 4-2 defeat in the hands of the Warriors.
