Tennis icons Serena Williams and Venus Williams will kick off their US Open doubles campaign by playing Lucie Hradecka and Linda Noskova of the Czech Republic.

On Saturday, the US Open organizers announced that the Williams sisters accepted a main draw wildcard into the doubles event.

The Williams sisters will be playing alongside each other for the first time since 2018 when they clash Hradecka and Noskova in the US Open first round.

Hradecka and Noskova will be making their team debut when they clash the Williams sisters in the US Open first round. Hradecka, 37, is one of the most experienced players from her country.

On the other side, 17-year-old Noskova is one of the most promising players from her country.

The Williams sisters certainly know what it takes to win a Grand Slam as they have 14 Grand Slam doubles titles together.

To make it all even more impressive, the Williams sisters are 14-0 in Grand Slam doubles finals.

Serena is retiring after this year's US Open, while Venus hasn't made any official announcements. Ahead of the US Open, Venus underlined that nothing has changed in Serena's approach as her younger sister still wants to win.

"It’s still business, she still wants to play, she still wants to win, when she walks on the court she wants to be focused — so this is the moment now for her to do that, like all the other moments, and then when that moment is over, then the next moment will be here.

So that’s what it is," Venus said on US morning show TODAY. In the US Open singles first round, Serena takes on Danka Kovinic while Venus plays Alison van Uytvanck. The Williams sisters received favorable singles draws and they will certainly like their chances in the doubles versus Hradecka and Noskova. It remains to be seen if the Williams sisters can make a deep run in the US Open doubles.
