Ronaldo sends ‘special peace message’ to Trump with a signed shirt for a cease-fire in the Israel and Iran conflict

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has sent Donald Trump a plea for peace with a signed football shirt.
The signed Portugal top was presented to Trump by the Portuguese head of the European Council, Antonio Costa.
Trump and Costa posed for a photo with the president holding up the Portugal shirt.
Ronaldo's message was clear for all to see, written on the back.
It reads: "To President Donald J. Trump. Playing for peace."
The plea comes amid the outbreak of war between Israel and Iran.
Trump vowed to help the conflicting countries reach a ceasefire at the G7 summit in Canada.
He told reporters at the summit: "I'm not looking for a ceasefire; we're looking at better than a ceasefire."
Trump also wrote on social media: "We will have PEACE, soon, between Israel and Iran! Many calls and meetings are now taking place."
Trump left the G7 meeting early and issued a chilling two-day deadline for Iran to bring a "real end" to their nuclear programme.
He refused to specify the endgame, but ominously warned: "You're going to find out over the next two days."
