Real Madrid have tied down Rodrygo Goes to a new long-term contract, with the Brazilian forward signing a new deal until 2028.

The young forward has excelled since joining the club's first team in 2019 and Los Blancos felt compelled to improve and extend his deal that was due to expire in 2025.

Rodrygo played a big role in Real Madrid's latest Champions League triumph, scoring important goals against Chelsea in the quarter-finals before netting a crucial brace against Manchester City late on in the semi-finals.

Salary increase and a billion euro release clause

The only thing missing is the signature to finalise the extension agreed between Real Madrid and Rodrygo. The idea is that this will take place next week.

The release clause of the forward will be 1 billion euros, as has become the norm at Real Madrid for key players, a symbolic 'hands-off' figure.

The figure set by the offices to shield their stars.

For some time now, several suitors had been calling for the Brazilian, with special insistence from the Premier League, but the priority of Real Madrid and the player has always been to stay together.

The sporting management have also rewarded Rodrygo's loyalty and development with a significant salary increase.

Alos Éder Militao, Brazil centre-back and the leaders of Real Madrid have agreed to improve and extend their agreement until 2028. As has happened with previous renewals, the termination clause will be set at 1,000 million euros.

Militao signed for Real Madrid in the winter of 2019 after leaving Porto, landing in the Spanish capital in the summer of that year. Just six months in Portugal were enough for him to make the move to LaLiga.

His first season registered more shadows than certainties, but halfway through the 20-21 campaign, he made the jump to the starter as Ramos and Varane got injured.

Since then, no one has taken away his starting position and he has become essential to the team.

The Madrid directors have wanted to recognize his growth and have done so by closing an agreement that will unite him with Real Madrid until 2028.

The talks began last March and everything has been completed in the last few hours.

With these three decisions, the next one will be Lunin's new contract without forgetting the commitment to Benzema, plus the ones made in his day with Valverde or Courtois, Real Madrid will ensure the continuity of the backbone for the next five years.
