Rodgers wants Ndidi at Celtic

Former Leicester City manger Brendan Rodgers could return to the relegated club for one of his first Celtic signings, with Wilfred Ndidi being linked.

The defensive midfielder moved to the King Power Stadium from Genk in a £17million deal in 2018 and that sort of figure would appear to put the Hoops out of the race.

However, when you consider he has just a year left on his deal along with the Foxes' relegation to the Championship, that could make it more realistic.

Rodgers was announced as Celts boss for a second time on Monday and has reportedly been promised a bumper transfer budget after insisting that his ambitions to make waves in Europe would need to be met during talks. Signing players like Ndidi would seem to fit that bill and there is an interest there, according to the Daily Mail.
