Rio Ferdinand wants Osimhen singing ‘even if he’s £150m’ as PSG tables 150 euro for Eagles star

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has made it clear exactly who he wants Manchester United to sign this summer.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Harry Kane, but Ferdinand thinks the answer lies with Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

They’ve been linked with moves for Kane and Osimhen as well as Atalanta youngster Rasmus Hojlund.
Any deal for Kane could be complicated with reports suggesting Daniel Levy and Spurs are unwilling to let Kane leave, especially to a Premier League rival.
Ferdinand had his say on the debate between the three when speaking to FIVE.
He said: “I'd sign Kane in a heartbeat, he has gone under the radar because of [Erling] Haaland but I am not waiting and playing games in July.
“If he said no, I'd move straight on to Osimhen. Even if he's £150m, do it. Look at the market. Who else is there? There’s no one ready-made.”
Osimhen was a crucial part of Napoli’s Serie A winning side and bagged 26 league goals in 32 appearances last season.
But Napoli would demand a huge fee for the 24-year-old who is regarded as one of the top talents in world football at the moment.
Man Utd may turn their attention to Hojlund, but the 20-year-old also has a massive price tag with reports suggesting Atalanta would want £80million to let him go.
Ferdinand isn’t sure the Danish forward is worth the risk for his former club.
He said: “He’s not ready-made, ain’t done it properly at the top consistently. You’re buying him off the back of a season.”
Hojlund scored nine times and registered four assists in 32 league games last season.
Meanwhile, Napoli will meet Osimhen’s agent to discuss a new contract, but Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to make an offer worth €150m.
The centre-forward was already signed from LOSC for over €70m and has gone from strength to strength at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
President Aurelio De Laurentiis has given mixed messages, assuring Osimhen reached a verbal agreement to extend his contract to June 2027, but at the same time warning if an offer they can’t refuse comes in, then it must be considered.
According to Sportitalia transfer pundit Alfredo Pedulla, that bid could well come in from Paris Saint-Germain and including performance-related bonuses it would hit the magic €150m figure.
This would blow even Premier League competition out of the water, with Manchester United and Chelsea seemingly not too sure about going beyond €100m.
Considering the Nigeria international is only 24 years old and was Capocannoniere this season with 26 goals in 32 Serie A appearances, plus five in six Champions League matches, that simply would not be enough to make Napoli wobble.
Regardless, first Napoli will meet with Osimhen’s agent to discuss the situation.
Should the striker be sold, they have already identified Jonathan David of LOSC as his replacement.
