Paris Olympics: It is getting worse as Our Girls and Boys failed to qualify for the relay final

Team Nigeria's performance at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games moved from bad to worse on Thursday as the 4x100m teams, Our Girls and Boys, failed to qualify for the final of the relay.

Our Girls, the quartet of Justina Tiana Eyakpobeyan, Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma, and Tima Seikeseye Godbless ran a season-best of 42.70 seconds but it was not good enough for the final.

Our Boys, the quartet of Favour Oghene Tejiri Ashe, Kayinsola Ajayi, Alaba Olukunle Akintola, and Usheoritse Itsekiri competing for a place in the final with Trinidad and Tobago, Spain, Netherlands, France, Great Britain, Canada, and Jamaica also run a season’s best of 38.20 second but like their female counterpart they also failed to qualify for the final.
