Paris Olympics: Harvest of defeats for Team Nigeria as Fatima Bello loses 0-4 to Yuan

From football to boxing to table tennis it has been a harvest of defeats for Team Nigeria since the Paris 2024 Olympic Games started last Wednesday with the Super Falcons losing 0-1 to Brazil.
Nigeria remains on the hunt for an elusive win overall in the 2024 Olympic Games Paris 2024 after another capitulation in table tennis on Monday.
The country’s campaign in the event came to an end following Fatima Bello’s defeat in Round 64 of the women’s Singles.
The Nigerian player lost 0-4 to French player, Nan Jia Yuan who coasted to victory to progress to Round 32.
Making her debut in the Olympics the loss is expected to serve as a learning curve for Bello in subsequent international competitions.
Monday’s collapse in table tennis continues Nigeria’s losing streak in all the events she has participated in so far at the Games.
In Sunday’s action, Olaitan Olaore lost out in the men’s heavyweight boxing while Super Falcons fell 0-1 to world champions Spain in their second group match of the women’s football tournament.
