Paris Olympics: Amusan fails to qualify for 100 hurdles final.

World record holder in 100m hurdles, Team Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan finishes 3rd in heat one of the semi-final of the 100m hurdles on Friday.

By this performance, Amusan failed to qualify for the Saturday final automatically, and at the end of the third heat, Amusan also failed to qualify as one of the fastest losers.

Amusan, clocked 12.55s to come third.

Her heat was won by American Grace Stark in 12.39 seconds, The Bahamas’ Devyne Charlton was second in 12.50 seconds.

The second heat was won by American Alaysha Johnson in 12.34 seconds and The Netherlands Nadine Visser came second in 12.43 seconds.

The third was won by Jasmine Camacho-Quinn in 12.35 seconds and American Masai Russell was second in 12.42 seconds.

These hurdlers qualified automatically for the Saturday final.

The two others who qualified as the fastest losers are Jamaica Ackera Nugget 12.44 seconds and France Cyrena Samba-Mayela 12.52 seconds.
