Osimhen's transfer is now a circus show, linked again with Juve, very soon, it may be Remo Stars or Abakaliki FC

In the last eighteen months or thereabout, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been linked to virtually all the big clubs in Europe and beyond, but all has been nothing but hot air.
On Monday, it was reported that Juventus have not given up on signing Napoli-owned Osimhen, as Sky Sport Italia reports they contacted his entourage in the last 48 hours to intensify talks. It is no secret that the Bianconeri had the Nigerian on their wish list.
Osimhen has also been linked to the two biggest clubs in Spain, Real Madrid and Barcelona, several times.
He has been linked to PSG, Bayern Munich and even Dortmund.
He has also been linked with the biggest clubs in England, from Man City to Man United, to Newcastle, to Liverpool, Arsenal and even Chelsea.
He has been linked with virtually all the big clubs in Europe, and that none has deemed it fit to invite him even for a medical is turning the whole thing into a circus show.
Apart from a loan move to Galatasaray, nothing concrete has come out of the speculations around Osimhen.
Many are so pissed off with speculations about Osimhen’s future that they won’t be shocked if he is linked with a move to the NPFL champion Remo Stars or the surprise team of the 2025 Federation Cup Abakaliki FC.
While Osimhen's talent is not in doubt, top European clubs are wary about paying €75m for a player who has had only one very successful season at the top level.
For most top European clubs, his success in the Turkish league last season doesn’t count as the league is considered low compared to the top five European leagues.
The Turkish league is regarded as a league for budding talents who are aiming to move to the top five European leagues, and where players move to play for retirement benefits.
That was why Osimhen was not named among the top 10 best scorers in Europe last season despite scoring more than 30 goals in all competitions.
Another challenge is his wage demand and injuries.
But according to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus seem keen this time and negotiations have intensified over the weekend.
The club want to sign Osimhen next season, along with free agent Jonathan David.
Napoli would try to block Osimhen's transfer to Juventus
Any move would be extremely difficult, as the €75m release clause is only valid for clubs outside of Italy, precisely because Napoli are wary of Juve poaching their stars after spending €100m for Gonzalo Higuain a few years back.
If they were to sell to a direct Scudetto rival, then Napoli would ask for €80m.
However, as Osimhen is returning to pre-season training from his Galatasaray loan and seems to be quite low on the list of priorities for other clubs, such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Al-Hilal had been prepared to pay the full €75m fee and give him an eye-watering salary of circa €30m per season, but he turned it down to continue his career in Europe.
If the Juventus rumoured deal does not end the circus show, don’t be surprised if Osimhen is linked with Remo Stars or Ababakali FC before the end of the week.
