Osimhen rescues point for Galatasaray as Lookman’s goal is Atalanta’s Goal of the Month for December

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen netted as Galatasaray held Hatayspor to a thrilling 1-1 draw on Friday night.

Cemali Sertel gave Hatayspor the lead two minutes before the half-hour mark.

Galatasaray fought back with Osimhen equalising from the penalty spot in the 56th minute.

The 26-year-old was in action for the entire duration of the game.

The Nigeria international has now racked up 14 goals and six assists in all competitions for the Yellow and Reds this season.

Okan Buruk’s side occupies the top position on the table with 50 points from 18 games.

Elsewhere, Ademola Lookman has won Atalanta’s Goal of the Month for December.

Lookman won the award for his brilliant strike in Gian Piero Gasperini’s side's 3-2 UEFA Champions League defeat to Real Madrid on December 10.

The winger fired past Thibaut Courtois after turning Lucas Vazquez inside the box.

The 27-year-old won 46% of the votes, with Belgium Charles De Ketelaere coming second with 38% votes.

Tommaso Del Lungo and Andrea Bonanomi came third and fourth respectively.

It’s the first time Lookman will be winning the individual accolade this season.

The Nigerian made his 100th appearance for La Dea in Monday’s 1-1 draw with Juventus.
