Onyekuru Plays Down Carthage Eagles Threat
Olympiakos forward, Henry Onyekuru believes Tunisia is not a threat to Nigeria's AFCON dream and boasted that The Carthage Eagles will surely bite the dust when both countries clash in the 2021 AFCON second-round clash on Sunday.
Speaking after the team's training, the former Fenerbahce star believed Super Eagles are in the right frame of mind to checkmate their North African opponents come Sunday, and assured that there will be no margin for errors against the Magrebs.
"Nigeria should keep believing in this team, and it is up to us to deliver the result, and by the special grace of God, we will win the trophy for our people.
"The Tunisians are good too, and we know how they got to this stage, but we are not going to underrate our opponents. The feeling in the camp is good, and all we just want to do is go out there and win at all cost," Onyekuru said.
It would be recalled that Nigeria defeated Tunisia 2-0 in a third-place match at the last edition of the African Cup of Nations held in Egypt in 2019.
