Olise is not thinking about Madrid happy at Munich for now
FC Bayern star winger Michael Olise appears to be fully settled at Bayern Munich, with a source from the winger’s entourage insisting that the French international is happy in Munich despite acknowledging that he could eventually seek a new challenge in his career.
Speaking to L’Équipe, a source from Olise’s entourage explained the situation: “He [Olise] is very happy in Munich. Of course, in the long term, it’s logical that he will seek out new challenges. But for now, everything is going well. He simply wants to continue improving and, above all, win everything this season with Bayern.”
For Bayern Munich supporters, the most important part of that message is the emphasis on the present. Olise is reportedly happy with his situation and wants to continue developing at Bayern Munich rather than looking for an immediate exit.
Olise also recognises that he is in an environment that has allowed him to take another step forward. Vincent Kompany has played an important role in his development, while Bayern Munich have given him the platform to establish himself as one of the most dangerous attacking players in the squad.
Bayern Munich are apparently keen to ensure that relationship continues for years to come. The club would reportedly like to extend Olise’s contract and make him Bayern Munich's outright highest-paid player, showing how highly he is valued internally.
A new contract could also include a release clause. Unlike his current agreement, which reportedly does not include one, Bayern Munich could accept such a clause as part of an extension.
Olise, of course, was linked to Real Madrid earlier this summer.
