NWFL: After Blackson, Rivers Angels sign two players from Sunshine Queens

Rivers Angels have completed the signing of Taiwo Ajibade and Taiwo Aganmuyi ahead of the 2025 season of the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL.
Ajibade and Aganmuyi penned a two-year contract each with the former NWFL Champions.
The duo joined Rivers Angels from Sunshine Queens.
Ajibade and Aganmuyi featured regularly for Sunshine Queens last season.
The players expressed gratitude to Sunshine Queens for shaping their careers.
“Sunshine Queens will always remain an important part of us,” they told Sporting Hope.
“The experience we gained there has made our transition to another big team seamless.”
The duo were among 14 players unveiled by Rivers Angels on Sunday.
Earlier, the club had unveiled their new head coach, Tosan Blackson.
Blackson has been tasked with the responsibility of winning the title for the Port Harcourt club.
Rivers Angels won their last title three years ago, with Delta Queens and Edo Queens emerging champions in the last two years.
The club has also beefed up its squad with six new players; Taiwo Afolabi, Fatima Oloko, Anderline Mgbechi, Yusuf Nana, Aweda Titilayo, and Saka Sadiat.
The Port Harcourt club also unveiled their new jerseys for the upcoming season.
Rivers Angels will kick off their NWFL campaign against Ibom Angels at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, on Saturday.
