Three Nigerian referees suspended indefinitely for poor officiating, to face panel
After a careful review of the matches at the ongoing NWFL premiership, the officials were found culpable

The new dawn promised by the head of the Nigeria Football Football referee committee, Mrs. Faith Irabor, is beginning to materialize as three referees of the Nigeria Women's Football League, NWFL has been suspended for questionable officiating.
This piece of information was contained in a release by the Nigeria Referee Association (NRA) on Monday, January 16, 2023.
In the press release, three NWFL Premiership Centre Referees and their assistants were suspended from taking charge of any match indefinitely and have been summoned to appear before the Referee’s Committee to answer questions relating to questionable Officiating in three matches in which they were in charge.
After a careful review of the matches at the ongoing NWFL premiership, the officials were found culpable as questionable calls were made in the following matches they took charge.
These are Osun Babes Vs Delta Queens, Adamawa Queens Vs Nasarawa Amazons and
Rivers Angels Vs Delta Queens
The release was signed by the Secretary of the NFF Referees Committee, Sanni Zubair, named Centre Referees namely Joy Ogunboye from the Ondo Referee Association, Beatrice Paul from the Taraba Referee Association, and Olufunke Adesola from the Oyo.
The Assistant Referees Suspended also are Olusi Kikand Salomo, and Ajirotutu Esther all from Ondo State, Elizabeth Yunusa Gombe and Wurba Bwulli Ruth from Plateau State, Rofiat Abdulrasheed and Aladenika Adetutu from Oyo and Ondo respectively.
Their suspension takes immediate effect and further punishment or otherwise will come after their appearance before NFF, Referee Committee headed by retired FIFA referee, Mrs. Faith Irabor.
