NPFL: Star performer Ahmed Musa promises Kano Pillars supporters more goals
Former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is looking forward to scoring more goals for Kano Pillars after a remarkable start to his third stint at the club.
Musa was the star of the show as the four-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions handed Sunshine Stars a 2-0 defeat at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Sunday.
The 31-year-old scored in the fifth and 51 minutes respectively.
The forward later won a penalty on 71 minutes which he failed to convert.
Musa, who expressed his delight with the win, promised to score more goals for the Sai Masu Gida.
“Back in familiar colours, and it feels so good! Grateful to the entire backroom staff, my teammates, and management of Kano Pillars FC for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to return,” he wrote on X.
“To the amazing supporters and everyone who came out to watch, thank you for the love and energy! Scoring two goals and earning that penalty was just the start – we’ve got a lot more coming!”

And Kano Pillars technical adviser, Usman Abdallah has praised his team’s performance in the win over Sunshine Stars.
Abdallah stated that his players showed their character in returning to winning ways.
Ahmed Musa’s brace earned Kano Pillars maximum points in the matchday five encounters.
Abdallah stated that his players showed strong character in returning to winning ways.
“I’m satisfied with how the players performed in the win over Sunshine Stars,” Abdallah told Kano Pillars media.
“It shows that we’re capable of regrouping and winning again.
“It’s still early in the season, but I believe we’ll continue to improve.”
The Sai Masu will face Akwa United in their next NPFL game in Uyo.
