NPFL: Shooting Stars poaches Nasararwa United forward

Shooting Stars have completed Nzediegwu Charles's signing ahead of the season's second half.

Nzediegwu joined the Oluyole Warriors from Nasarawa United.

He signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Gbenga Ogunbote’s side.

The 28‐year-old forward made five league appearances for Nasarawa United before the switch.

Nzediegwu will battle the likes of Samuel Ayanrinde, Mustapha Adams and Joshua Akpan for a starting spot.

He has played for Enyimba and Abia Warriors in the past.

Nzediegwu won the NPFL title with Enyimba during the 2022/2023 campaign.

Elsewhere, Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, side, Ekiti Queens have suspended their team manager, Moji Adekanye indefinitely.

Adekanye was alleged to have been involved in unethical conduct against the club.

The suspension was announced in a statement by the Technical Advisor to the State Governor on Sports Development, Olusola Osetoba.

According to the statement, the suspension takes immediate effect, with a disciplinary committee set up to investigate the matter.

Osetoba emphasised that the club remains committed to upholding integrity, professionalism, and sportsmanship, stating that indiscipline from the technical crew would not be tolerated.

Ekiti Queens opened their 2025 NWFL campaign with a 1-0 win over Heartland Queens.
