Rangers recorded their first away win of the season, edging out Doma United 1-0 at the Pantami Township Stadium on Saturday.

Collins Ugwueze scored the decisive goal for the Flying Antelopes on the half-hour mark.

It was Doma United’s first home defeat in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, this season.

Holders Enyimba held Bendel Insurance to a 0-0 draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

The Peoples Elephants remain in third position in the table with 36 points from 21 games.

Elsewhere, Kwara United and Katsina United battled to a 1-1 draw in Ilorin.

Adeshina Gata gave the home team the lead a minute before the break.

Katsina United equalised through Michael Ibe four minutes before the break.

Meanwhile, Niger Tornadoes are awaiting approval from the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, to return to their home ground, Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium.

The ground was banned from hosting NPFL games since the start of the 2023-24 season.

The Ikon Allah Boys have been playing their home matches at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna following the ban.

“For now the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium is now awaiting official approval from both the NPFL and the NFF,” the club said in response to enquiries.

“The team will soon return to Minna.”

Niger Tornadoes are hovering around the relegation zone.

They will take on Abia Warriors in a matchday 21 fixture on Sunday.
