The Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of  Ibadan, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan, has heaped praises on the players and the officials of the team for starting the season on a commendable note.

Akoro, as the 3SC helmsman is popularly known, said the 3-3 draw secured by the team against Plateau United in last Sunday's opening day fixture in Jos, was commendable, even thoroughly admitted that it would have been sweeter had the team gotten the maximum points.

"It was not a bad one, we could have grabbed the whole points, but picking a point in far away Jos was something good and I want to commend you and coach Gbenga Ogunbote and his crew for a job well done," said the former Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly.

He however charged the players to go for the kill against Kwara United in Thursday's match day two fixture at the Lekan Salami Stadium.

"Having started so well, I want you to maintain the momentum because our main target, as we know, is the league. So come Thursday, I don't want you to only beat Kwara United, but to score as many goals as possible even let the goals start coming within the first ten minutes," added the 3SC boss.

Responding, the skipper of the Oluyole Warriors', Waheed Omololu, expressed appreciation to the management for the support so far,  assuring of a convincing win over Kwara United on Thursday.
